Contemporary Artist & Illustrator / Founder of Tempest Prints
"I grew up in Tacoma, WA surrounded by the arts and artists alike. Performing at open mics with my sister, taking every art class I could and working with local artists to host events for our community. This upbringing really harbored my passion and love for art and in 2015 at 18 years old, I moved to Bellingham, WA to attend Western Washington University in pursuit of an arts degree. Throughout my adolescence and into my undergrad years, I grappled with abuse, chronic depression & anxiety. In 2017 I was officially diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder, ADHD & complex PTSD. My experience during this period of emotional turmoil became heavy themes within the concepts of my work. I survived and graduated with a Bachelor's of Studio Arts from WWU in 2019. I concentrated primarily as a multidisciplinary artist with a background in traditional printmaking there. Art school and my mental health journey really helped me refine my skills and styles as an artist. Since then I've used those skills to explore the vastly different artistic styles you see as you browse my work. I hope you are able to connect with some of my pieces as you browse my site. Thank you!

"Tempest" is defined as a "violent windstorm," common in the PNW where I am based. "Tempestuous" is defined as "turbulent & conflicting emotions" which has been a strong theme in all of my work. I connected with those meanings and came up with the name "Tempest Prints" for my business. As a true art lover, I strive to share my passion through my work and help connect beautiful pieces with happy new owners. One of the guiding principles of my shop is that everyone should be able to enjoy art. Tempest Prints is a convenient and interactive space for both art enthusiasts and collectors to find pieces that cater to a wide array of tastes. From the affordable convenience of digital downloads or the option for tangible prints shipped right to you, I hope that you’ll easily find your next masterpiece in my work. Thank you for your support!
